deep iceland
Reykjavik | August 2019
Due to scheduling difficulties this trip is not under our Photonboarding program
In 2019, we will return to Iceland.
Reissuing the 2016 program, we added another 2 days which will allow our participants to enjoy the best spots in the best hours where the magic happens. It will allow the more than 3,000kms we will go through in a softer way.
The group will be composed of 2 photographic leaders and 12 participating photographers.
Iceland offers us a variety of scenery and photography opportunities every passing mile. The whole trip was designed in order to give our participants the true reality of this fabulous country. Our proposal on this trip also goes to some more inland areas, to make known the deep Iceland.
We will spend many hours in photography and many hours driving in Iceland, so we have in mind some assumptions that aim for a commitment of some comfort to our participants. The few hours of sleep should allow a good rest, so the hotel option will be whenever possible in the proximity to the photographic spots and the quality / privacy of the rooms. The model will be in a double room shared with private WC except when there is no local offer.
Safety and comfort is essential. We will drive many kms every day and many of those kms on unpaved roads. For the total comfort of our participants we will have at our disposal 3 vehicles 4x4, with capacity for 5 people and space to accommodate our suitcases and backpacks.
We will have very tight schedules, so that we can comply with the established program and be able to be in the right place at the right time. Our participants will not have to worry about meals. We will always choose to dine in restaurants or hotels. We understand that everyone should be focused on the objective that leads them to Iceland .. the photography.
PHOTOGRAPHY LEADERS

OUR ROUTE to 2019
SUMMARY PROGRAM
Day 1
After arriving to Reykjavik and without wasting much time, we will depart as soon as possible to the southern part of the island. We will make the sunset in Seljalandsfoss and overnight at the largest waterfall on the south coast, more concretely Skogafoss.
Accommodation: Hotel 2 ** in shared twin room. Shared bathrooms. Breakfast not included.
The sunrise will be made in Skogafoss, so each participant can manage their time to wake up and to photograph. Even before breakfast we will photograph one other waterfall next to Skogafoss. After checking out, we will leave by the coast until Jokulsarlon, where we will make the sunset in the glacier lagoon. During the day, we will have the opportunity to do some photos elsewhere.
Accommodation: Hotel 3 *** in shared twin room. Private bathrooms. Breakfast included.
Day 2
Day 3
Day to go to the beach ... let's go photograph the ice diamonds on Jokulsarlon beach at dawn. After breakfast we will continue our journey along the coast. On this day we will visit 2 glaciers very close and at sunset we will be positioned in Eystrahorn.
Accommodation: Hotel 3 *** in shared twin room. Shared bathrooms. Breakfast included.
On the 4th day we will head north, but before we do, we will shot in the early morning at Stokksnes. After a little more than 400kms we will reach the waterfall of the gods. We will spend 2 days in this region, photographing the great northern waterfalls and other points of interest.
Accommodation: Hotel 3 *** in shared twin room. Private bathrooms. Breakfast not included.
Days 4&5
After dawn shooting in Aldeyarfoss, we will make the first major incursion into inside Iceland and reach the Icelandic Highlands. We will shot the sunset in Haifoss and overnight in the area.
Accommodation: Hotel 3 *** in shared twin room. Private bathrooms. Breakfast included.
Day 6
Day 7
The dawn session will be in a fantastic canyon in the highlands where a beautiful river of turquoise water flows. The day will be mostly spent in Landmannalaugar where we will make a good walk with optional variants of physical effort according to the will of our participants. But we warn you ... more effort .. greater reward ... At the end of the afternoon we will travel from F208 to Vik where we will spend the night. The F208 is one of the most impressive highland highways so we will make some stops whenever possible. The route to VIK implies the always exciting crossing of about 20 river fords.
Accommodation: Hotel 3 *** in shared twin room. Private bathrooms. Breakfast included.
