In 2025 we will be at the peak of the cyclical peak of solar flares that every 11 years provide us with excellent displays of aurora borealis, more frequent and more intense, thus increasing the possibility of seeing them and of course also photographing them.

At the gates of the Arctic Circle, Iceland offers all photographers magnificent landscapes and scenery. Better than having the opportunity to photograph the Northern Lights is being able to photograph them in the varied settings that Iceland offers us.

Due to the size of the group, we will have a set itinerary and excellent hotels where we can rest and have some comfort after the long hours of exposure to the cold.

As is customary on our trips, as long as the weather permits, we will focus on the best times for photography, which in the case of this trip are not at all the worst times, considering that sunrise is at almost normal times and sunset is still early, as Iceland is currently experiencing an increase in the number of hours of daily daylight, thus allowing our participants a good period of rest. Of course, everything will change if we have the opportunity to have nights with the Northern Lights, which no one will want to miss. If this happens, we will adapt our daily program accordingly.

We couldn't go to Iceland in winter without visiting one of the famous ice caves that form every year, offering not only an excellent photo opportunity, but an unforgettable experience.

The harsh winter weather at this time of year is something that everyone should be aware of, so we will be providing detailed instructions on what to wear in terms of clothing and accessories. Above all, we want our participants to feel comfortable while taking photos.

FAQs

What support will I have from photographic leaders?
Be aware that the leaders are not tour guides. However, by the knowledge of the places, they will provide the historical information related that they are aware of. The main job of the leaders is the organization of the trip, the management of the times and routes so that all can be in the right place at the right time. They will be 100% of the time with the participants.
Will I have some photographic support of the leaders?
A photo trip is not like a workshop where leaders are totally focused on the participants. In this trip, the leaders will photograph side by side with the participants, and share with the group the frames, composition and settings. They will be available to help those who need it.
The program mention that the transportation are included, will I have to drive?
No. All driving is assured. You just have to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the landscape.
The flight is not included in the package, but can I request photo details some booking help regarding my flight?
Photo details is not a tour operator, but in our travels we have a partner who will be happy to book your flight and make you a corresponding offer. It is up to you to choose our partner or personally deal with your usual travel agent.
What do I need to bring regarding photographic equipment, and what about clothing?
With your registration and booking, before the date of travel, you will be sent a detailed program where all these issues are addressed.
